Lughnasadh/Lammas,the first of the three harvest festivals, marks High Summer. The farmer's markets are full of Mother Earth's bounty as we bask in the energy of abundance, activation and preparation. Commonly observed on August 1st, astrological Lammas occurred on August 7th when the sun was at 15 degrees exactly in the sign of Leo. 

The Wheel of the Year has turned once again - Litha/Summer Solstice was ushered in late last night with the longest day of the year. We are in peak solar power now, with the Solstice portal opening three days before and staying open three days after. With the Sun being at it's highest power, it is an ideal time to put forward our intentions for manifestation. The fire burns bright! 

We are presently in the portal of Beltane, the next turn in the Wheel of the Year. Commonly celebrated on May 1st (with astrological Beltane on May 5th), it is the cross-quarter festival for fertility, sensuality and sacred union between the Divine Feminine and Masculine.

The Wheel of the Year turns once again as we welcome Ostara and the Spring Equinox on March 20th. In the Celtic Wheel of the Year this is considered mid-spring and in the Ayurvedic wisdom tradition we are entering the season of Kapha, made up of the elements of earth and water. 

These are challenging times, my loves …AND they are hopeful, healing, inspiring and transformative times as well.

We have entered a new Gregorian calendar year with the flip of a page and the strike of midnight. This time of year brings forth the energy of new possibilities the eagerness to begin again and the resolve to do more and to do better.
