The sweetness of life can be found in the smallest moments
The Wheel of the Year has turned once again - Litha/Summer Solstice was ushered in late last night with the longest day of the year. We are in peak solar power now, with the Solstice portal opening three days before and staying open three days after. With the Sun being at it's highest power, it is an ideal time to put forward our intentions for manifestation. The fire burns bright!
We also have entered Cancer Season on the day of the Solstice (June 20th). The watery crab invites us to go within for internal reflection, to take comfort in our home and our relationships, to swim in deep waters of our internal realms. Its an interesting but yet fitting duality of having the solar energy so strong in an astrological season of a sign that is more Feminine, governed by the Moon. We have the beautiful synergy of working with both the Divine Masculine and Feminine.
The inward reflection will support our outward manifestation - we want to be absolutely clear on what we are asking and choosing to be brought into our lives. At the half-way point of the calendar year, it's an ideal time to reflect on what has come to past and what we really want to call in. Time is an illusion, we aren't meant to be driven by a linear life but to dance and weave our way through a spiral of beginnings and endings - just when we think we have moved on from something, it sometimes appears again for even greater processing and release.
Like the bumble and honey bee, we can take the time to drink the nectar of the beauty around us. For the sweetness of life can be found in the smallest moments - that swim on a warm day, the walk in the morning in the dew, the spontaneous road trip with a great friend. The summer days are fleeting - make them count!
Where in your life can bring more sweetness?
What inner work is calling to be done?
How can you ignite your inner fire to propel your deepest desires forward?
In Ayurveda, we are in what is known as Pitta season - governed my mostly fire and a little water. The external heat influences our internal heat or agni as it is called. Our digestive fires - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual - are strong. It's important we adapt our lifestyle during the hotter days so we don't burn to strong. Eating cooling and light foods, get morning sun before 10 am, don't over exercise or exert in the hot weather. Linger, be leisurely, be free.
Embrace the summer sweetness to it's fullest!
